The youngest Darko and a member of Sparkle Motion. Her trip to Star Search puts her, and her mother, on the plane whose engine becomes the Artifact.
Samantha's role is entirely structural: Sparkle Motion's Los Angeles trip exists so that a plane will be over Middlesex, in the storm, at the moment the Tangent Universe collapses. In the Primary Universe, Donnie's death spares her that flight - one of the reasons offered for why he chooses to stay in bed.
